Volleyball Recap: Burlington Christian Academy's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Burlington Christian Academy entered their tilt with The Burlington School on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 12th.

Burlington Christian Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept The Burlington School between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Burlington Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ali Moldt, who had five digs and four aces. Moldt has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Cardwell, who had two blocks and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Burlington Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 14 aces in three consecutive matches.

Burlington Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for The Burlington School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burlington Christian Academy will host Faith Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for The Burlington School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chatham Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
