Volleyball Recap: West Comes Up Short

West lost against Skyline back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. West came up short against Skyline, falling 3-0. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

West was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-12, 25-18.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Skyline, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East at 5:30 p.m. on April 8. West is facing East at the right time seeing as East is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Skyline, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brighton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Brighton will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's game.
