Basketball Recap: Union Colony Prep Takes a Loss

Union Colony Prep lost against Estes Park back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Union Colony Prep Timberwolves lost 61-39 to the Estes Park Bobcats. The match marked the Timberwolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hayden Powell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Estes Park, dropping a double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most points Powell has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Phineas Smith, who had 15 points along with eight boards and three blocks.

Union Colony Prep now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Estes Park, their win bumped their record up to an identical 8-9.

Union Colony Prep has already played their next game, an 80-44 loss against Bishop Machebeuf on the 13th. As for Estes Park, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-33 victory against Denver Academy on the 14th.
