Softball Recap: Dr. Phillips Takes a Loss

After flying high against Evans last Friday, Dr. Phillips came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Horizon Hawks on Wednesday, falling 9-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Dr. Phillips has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. As for Horizon, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Dr. Phillips wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 16-1 victory against Lake Buena Vista on the 11th. As for Horizon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-2 win against Windermere on the 11th.
