Basketball Recap: Southwestern Extends Winning Streak to Four

After losing to Anderson County the last time they met, Southwestern decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Southwestern Warriors came out on top against the Anderson County Bearcats by a score of 52-39 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Southwestern's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kinsley Molden, who posted 15 points. The match was Molden's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Dye, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine assists.

Southwestern pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Anderson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwestern will host Rockcastle County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Rockcastle County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. Anderson County has already played their next game (against Simon Kenton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
