Volleyball Game Preview: Vandalia Vandals vs. Litchfield Purple Panthers

Vandalia is 1-9 against Litchfield since October of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Vandals will be playing at home against the Purple Panthers at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Vandalia came up short against Teutopolis and fell 2-0.

Vandalia was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Litchfield posted their closest victory since September 13th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Mt. Olive. The Purple Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Litchfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-15, 25-22.

Litchfield's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Vandalia, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-22-1.
