Gosnell got themselves on the board against Walnut Ridge on Thursday, but Walnut Ridge never followed suit. They won by a run and slipped past the Walnut Ridge Bobcats 1-0. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won six in a row.

Walnut Ridge's batters probably weren't too happy with Avery McHan, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (she gave up a single walk).

On the hitting side, Anna Claire Smith was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Gosnell back to even at 1-1. As for Walnut Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gosnell is headed away from home for the first time to take on Valley View at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Walnut Ridge, they are taking a road trip to face off against Harrisburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
