Softball Preview: Jemison Panthers vs. Billingsley Bears

The Jemison Panthers will square off against the Billingsley Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Jemison fell victim to Maplesville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Red Devils. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jemison saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Pate, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Even though they lost, Jemison hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.
