Basketball Recap: Kendyl Riddle Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Winters

There's no place like home for Miles, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Winters Blizzards on Friday as the Miles Bulldogs made off with a 51-25 win. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while the Blizzards are ranked 1088th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Miles' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendyl Riddle, who posted ten points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ximena Torres, who put up nine points.

Miles smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Miles is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.6 points per game. As for Winters, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-15.

Coincidentally, Miles and Winters will both be playing Roscoe the next time they take the court. Miles will head out to face Roscoe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Winters will host them at 6:15 p.m. on January 10th.
