Basketball Game Preview: Pisgah Eagles vs. Section Lions

Pisgah hasn't had much luck against Section recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pisgah Eagles will square off against the Section Lions at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Pisgah was able to grind out a solid win over Skyline, taking the game 52-41. The 52-point effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Section entered their tilt with North Jackson on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Chiefs 74-22. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Pisgah's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Section, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Pisgah might still be hurting after the 74-54 loss they got from Section in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Pisgah avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
