Recap: Sherman Tide vs. Midland Trail Patriots
The Sherman Tide lost against the Midland Trail Patriots back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Sherman received a tough blow as they fell 56-40 to Midland Trail. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sherman has scored all season.
Midland Trail's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eli Campbell, who scored 16 points. The contest was Campbell's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Thad Brown was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds.
Sherman now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Midland Trail, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Sherman will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hannan at 7:00 p.m. Hannan is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. Midland Trail will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Nicholas County at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Nicholas County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday.
