Soccer Recap: Ketchikan Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Soldotna

Ketchikan faced Soldotna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Kings fell just short of the Stars by a score of 1-0. Ketchikan were not able to make up for their defeat to Soldotna from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Ketchikan is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4. As for Soldotna, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ketchikan beat the Stars by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.
