Soccer Game Preview: South Lenoir vs. Clinton + How To Watch

South Lenoir is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Wednesday. They will welcome the Clinton Dark Horses at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Friday just wasn't the day for South Lenoir's offense. They fell just short of Lejeune by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, South Lenoir can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 308th, while Lejeune are ranked 95th).

Meanwhile, Clinton unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Southwestern Randolph, falling 5-1. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Clinton struggled afterwards.

Their goal came courtesy of Chris Zelaya, who's now up to six this season.

South Lenoir's loss dropped their record down to 5-4-2. As for Clinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.
