Softball Game Preview: Eunice Cardinals vs. Loving Falcons

Eunice is 0-10 against Loving since April of 2023 but things could change on Saturday. The Cardinals will welcome the Falcons at 11:00 a.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Eunice played against Dora on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

Eunice will be up against a hot Loving team: the squad just extended their winning streak to nine. Everything went the Falcons' way against Jal on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-1 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Loving pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Eunice, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Eunice suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Loving in their previous matchup last Tuesday. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
