Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Carlsbad walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Pacific Ridge Firebirds on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Lancers, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 21-25, 25-23, 25-17.

Carlsbad's victory bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Pacific Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.

Carlsbad wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Academy of Our Lady of Peace on the 4th. Pacific Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
