Softball Recap: Sullivan County's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Sullivan County dropped their record down to 11-4 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Northwest Area Rangers, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Griffins' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Northwest Area, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1. The result was nothing new for the Rangers, who have now won 14 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Northwest Area's part, the result came thanks to Jenna Robaczewski's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks. Robaczewski has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ava Ruckle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Ashlyn Hermanofski was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sullivan County will welcome Sayre at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Northwest Area, they will take on Crestwood at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
