Softball Recap: Bradshaw Mountain Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greenway, Bradshaw Mountain was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Prescott Badgers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Prescott's batters probably weren't too happy with Kodee Statler, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 18 Ks (she gave up a single walk). Statler has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Laila Silva was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Kayda Fringer also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Bradshaw Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Prescott has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Bradshaw Mountain will have a chance to go back-to-back against Prescott: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
