East Carter entered their tilt with South Iron on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Redbirds, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

East Carter's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for South Iron, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 13-4-1 record.
