2025-26 Preseason MaxPreps All-America Team: Kaleena Smith, Olivia Vukosa and Jerzy Robinson headline high school girls basketball's best

Putting the spotlight on 30 of the nation's best players.

Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized the top high school girls basketball players in America. Past honorees include Tina Charles, Elena Delle Donne, Maya Moore, Nneka Ogwumike, Breanna Stewart and A'ja Wilson, who all went on to win the WNBA's Most Valuable Player award.

The process of identifying this season's stars begins with the Preseason MaxPreps All-America Team, headlined by Kaleena SmithJerzy Robinson and Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka, who have dreams of one day joining the prestigious list above.

Read on for a look at girls basketball's best heading into the 2025-26 season.
First team

6-2 | Guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | USC
The top-ranked player in the senior class, Hall averaged 20.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.8 steals last season at Montverde Academy. She can handle the point, score in bunches and is a lockdown defender.

5-6 | Point guard | Junior (Class of 2027) | Uncommitted
The MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year averaged 23.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.5 steals as the Knights (30-2) finished No. 5. Smith was also the freshman of the year and considered by some to be the No. 1 overall player regardless of class.



6-0 | Guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | Uncommitted
One of a handful of incoming seniors still to announce their commitment, she averaged 26.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.1 steals as the Trailblazers went 28-3 and finished No. 15 nationally in 2024-25.

6-4 | Post | Senior (Class of 2026) | UConn
Considered to be the top post in the prep game, she averaged 19.2 points, 17.9 rebounds, 5.5 blocked shots and 3.8 assists per game as the Royals went 25-6.

6-2 | Guard | Junior (Class of 2027) | Uncommitted
Averaged 18.5 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game as Bullis went 25-8 and spent time in the MaxPreps Top 25.

Second team

6-3 | Wing | Senior (Class of 2026) | Texas
The Ravens went 21-6 and reached the Class 6A semifinals as she posted  26.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.8 assists.

6-0 | Guard | Sophomore (Class of 2028) | Uncommitted
The MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year made an immediate impact for the Knights. She averaged 17.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.8 steals as Ontario Christian went 30-2 and won the Southern Section Open Division title, the school's first crown.

5-8 | Point guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | Kentucky
Enters the season with 4,454 career points and could make a run at not only the state scoring record, but a top 10 finish on the all-time high school mark. She averaged 32.8 points, 8.7 assists, 7.2 rebounds and 4.8 steals per game as the Lions went 29-0 with a Class 2A title.

5-10 | Point guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | North Carolina
A repeat MaxPreps All-American, she could surpass 3,000 career points this season. Last year, she averaged 32.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, 5.1 steals, 3.3 assists for the 29-3 Eagles.

6-2 | Post | Senior (Class of 2026) | Iowa
Among the top five rated players in her class, the future Hawkeye is coming back from a season-ending ACL injury last season. Her timetable looks favorable as the Monarchs look to reach a sixth straight Open Division final. At the time of her injury, she was averaging 22.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.

Third team

6-1 | Wing | Senior (Class of 2026) | Texas
Averaged 22.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.4 steals per game and threw down a dunk in a game last season. She helped the Panthers to a 28-1 record and the Class 6 District 8 final berth.



6-5 | Post | Junior (Class of 2027) | Uncommitted
Averaged 21.8 points and 15.1 rebounds per game as the Tigers went 21-4 and reached the Division III Non-Select state final.

6-1 | Guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | Maryland
Tallied 19.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game as the Quakers went 27-3 and won the DCSAA Class AA title. She will be a leader in the inaugural season at The St. James behind former Sidwell Friends coach Tamika Dudley.

Olivia Jones, Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, N.Y.)
5-10 | Point guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | Vanderbilt
Averaged a team-high 18.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game as the Crusaders went 15-5

6-1 | Wing | Junior (Class of 2027) | Uncommitted
Posted 21.6 points, 10.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 3.1 blocks and 2.6 steals per game in leading the Moose to a 27-3 record and fourth straight Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association title.

Honorable mention

6-0 | Guard | Junior (Class of 2027) | Uncommitted
Division II Class A Miss Basketball averaged 21.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game as the Bruins went 24-4 and reached the state semifinal.

Jezelle Banks, The St. James Performance Academy
5-8 | Point guard | Junior (Class of 2027) | Uncommitted
Led Ursuline to the state semifinals in Delaware as a sophomore, averaging 21.7 points, 4.8 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game.

5-7 | Point guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | Duke
Averaged 14.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the Quakers (27-4).

6-0 | Guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | Duke
Led the Bears in scoring (20.0 points per game), rebounding (7.9), steals (2.8) and assists (2.7), helping them reach the Conference 6A Division 1 regional final.

6-1 | Guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | Uncommitted
Missed all of last year with an ACL injury but averaged 17.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game as a sophomore at Bolingbrook.

6-3 | Guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | Nebraska
Posted 22.2 points, 10.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game as the Red Raiders went 18-7 and appeared in the Class A state tournament.

5-10 | Guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | Minnesota
Averaged 26.7 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 3.0 assists per game and helped led the Warhawks to a 25-4 record and Division I state semifinal appearance.

6-2 | guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | Uncommitted
A two-time USA Basketball pick, she averaged 11.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game as a junior as the Bears went 22-2.

5-10 | Guard | Senior (Class of 2026) | Notre Dame
Led the Dragons in scoring at 18.0 points per night to go along with 3.7 rebound and 3.5 steals as the 10th-ranked team finished 26-0 and repeated as Class 5A champions.

6-3 | Forward | Junior (Class of 2027) | Uncommitted
All-state pick averaged 22.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 2.1 assists per game.

6-1 | Wing | Junior (Class of 2027) | Uncommitted
Averaged 18.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.0 steals per game as the Cavaliers went 28-0 and won the Class 5A title.

6-2 | Guard | Junior (Class of 2027) | Uncommitted
MVP of the state tournament averaged 14.6 points and 4.0 rebounds for the No. 3 team in the final MaxPreps Top 25. She was 8 of 10 from 3-point range with 30 points in the title game.

Led the Tigers to a 28-1 record and the Division 1 state championship, averaging 26.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.

The Class 5A MVP helped the Bulldogs win the state title, averaging 17.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.8 steals and 2.1 blocks per game.



6-2 | Forward | Senior (Class of 2026) | South Carolina
Sharp-shooting forward averaged 17.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while connecting on 43 percent of her shots from 3-point range. Suffered a leg injury near the end of the regular season but returned to help the nationally-ranked Monarchs in the postseason.
