After having lost a blowout in their previous game against S & S Consolidated, Blue Ridge was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past Leonard 5-3. Blue Ridge hasn't had any issues with Leonard recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Paige Elder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Isabelle Tallant was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. Miranda Caro was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Blue Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Leonard, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-22.
