Preview: Ramsey Rams vs. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats
Ramsey has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Ramsey Rams and the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Ramsey pushed their score all the way to 68 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 79-68 to Father McGivney Catholic. Ramsey has struggled against Father McGivney Catholic recently, as their match on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City had to settle for a 56-54 defeat against Patoka on Saturday.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Clayton Wojcik, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. He scored a full 38.9% of Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Lorton, who scored 17 points.
Ramsey's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Ramsey was taken down by Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 70-33 in their previous matchup on December 1st. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lorton, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds. Now that Ramsey knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
