Volleyball Recap: Spencerport Gets the Win

Spencerport hadn't done well against Irondequoit recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Rangers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Rangers: when they faced off against the Eagles on September 4th, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leah Greco, who had 20 digs. Tori Uloth also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Spencerport and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for Irondequoit, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2-3.

Coincidentally, Spencerport and Irondequoit will both be playing Penfield the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Rangers will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
