Dynamic duo of Angel Gray and Payton Johnson lead Peebles to victory

Recap: Peebles Indians vs. Eastern Warriors

The Peebles Indians came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Eastern with points to spare, taking the game 37-23. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Peebles has scored all season.

Peebles was led to victory by Angel Gray and Payton Johnson. Gray scored ten points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while Johnson scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Johnson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Caydence Carroll, who scored four points along with five rebounds.

Peebles' victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. As for Eastern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Peebles will square off against Mason County at 8:20 p.m. on Saturday. As for Eastern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chillicothe at 1:20 p.m. on Saturday.
