Soccer Game Preview: Sun Valley Community vs. Kimberly

The Sun Valley Community Cutthroats will square off against the Kimberly Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sun Valley Community has five straight wins, Kimberly has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Sun Valley Community's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Filer as they made off with a 5-0 victory. Sun Valley Community might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Filer with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Chris Arenas (2), Rasmus Lahdesmaki, Tommy Hovey, and Anders Coulter.

Meanwhile, Kimberly lost 11-1 to Wendell on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Kimberly can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho soccer rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Wendell are ranked 20th).

Kimberly's loss dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for Sun Valley Community, their win bumped their record up to 12-2-2.
