Football Game Preview: Wahoo Warriors vs. Sidney Red Raiders + Official Tickets

The Wahoo Warriors will challenge the Sidney Red Raiders at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Wahoo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Sidney likes a good challenge.

Wahoo is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup last Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 61-21 win over Ashland-Greenwood. With the Warriors ahead 34-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Kip Brigham continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 253 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.8 yards per carry, and also picking up 61 receiving yards and one TD. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 20th straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season. Jase Kaminski was in the mix as well, providing Wahoo with two scores.

Wahoo's run defense was locked in: Ashland-Greenwood could only muster 3.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Eli Shada for the heroic effort on defense: he. Wahoo didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 11.5.

Wahoo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brigham and Harrison Krueger.

Meanwhile, Sidney faced Lakeview in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Friday. The Red Raiders secured a 28-24 W over the Vikings. The victory was just business as usual for the Red Raiders, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.

Sidney's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Wahoo, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 12-0.

Everything went Wahoo's way against Sidney in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as Wahoo made off with a 21-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
