Soccer Game Preview: Kelly vs. Juarez

The Kelly Trojans will face off against the Juarez Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Kelly's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Kelly managed to slip by Hubbard the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans came up short against the Greyhounds on Thursday, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Juarez was not quite Solorio's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell 4-2 to the Sun Warriors. Juarez haven't had much luck with Solorio recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Milagros Chacon wasn't going to let Solorio walk away unscathed as she scored both of Juarez's goals, bringing her season total up to six goals.

Kelly's loss dropped their record down to 3-5-2. As for Juarez, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-1.

Kelly skirted past Juarez 2-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
