Football Game Preview: West Lyon Wildcats vs. Underwood Eagles

The West Lyon Wildcats will square off against the Underwood Eagles on Friday. West Lyon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Underwood likes a good challenge.

West Lyon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Lawton-Bronson, posting a 63-7 win. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Eagles are ranked 137th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Underwood came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Trojans as they made off with a 42-21 victory. Considering the Eagles have won seven contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

West Lyon's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Underwood, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
