Brewer proved they can win big on Friday (they won by four) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Cleburne Yellowjackets 2-1. That's more bragging rights for Brewer, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brewer's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Cleburne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5-4.

Looking ahead, Brewer will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against North Side at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. North Side will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Brewer surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cleburne, they will square off against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Cleburne's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
