Flag Football Game Preview: Woodrow Wilson Bruins vs. Cabrillo Jaguars

The Woodrow Wilson Bruins will head out to take on the Cabrillo Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Woodrow Wilson took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They snuck past Lakewood with a 13-7 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bruins as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Woodrow Wilson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alexis Mc Laurin and Kira Ines.

Meanwhile, Cabrillo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were outmatched by Jordan and fell 39-0. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 614th, while the Panthers are ranked 234th).

Cabrillo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Woodrow Wilson, their win bumped their record up to 8-12-2.

Woodrow Wilson strolled past Cabrillo in their previous meeting on September 3rd by a score of 25-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
