Softball Recap: Avalon Comes Up Short

Avalon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-1 to the Santa Ana Valley Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 30-16 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2020.

Avalon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Santa Ana Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Avalon will be playing in front of their home fans against Southlands Christian at 11:00 a.m. on March 15th. Santa Ana Valley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Loara at 3:00 p.m. on March 19th.
