Softball Game Preview: Dora Bulldogs vs. Carbon Hill Bulldogs

Dora is 0-10 against Carbon Hill since March of 2018 but things could change on Monday. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dora is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game last Tuesday. They came up short against Oakman, falling 11-3. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Meanwhile, Carbon Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to Sumiton Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered against the Eagles since April 25, 2022.

Carbon Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brittany Parker, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Dora's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Carbon Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Dora suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Carbon Hill in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Dora avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
