Basketball Game Preview: Incline Highlanders vs. Sierra Lutheran Falcons

Incline is 6-1 against Sierra Lutheran since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Incline Highlanders will square off against the Sierra Lutheran Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Incline is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Incline is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing North Tahoe: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Incline blew North Tahoe out of the water with a 75-46 final score. The Highlanders pushed the score to 51-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lakers had little chance of recovering from.

Tommy Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 13 assists. The game was his 19th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Abbate, who went 7 of 9 en route to 19 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Sierra Lutheran was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 58-54 to Yerington. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.

Incline is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Sierra Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Incline strolled past Sierra Lutheran in their previous meeting on Thursday by a score of 77-59. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Sierra Lutheran's John Salonites, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards.
