Baseball Recap: King William Find Success

It's playoff time, and King William had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a run and slipped past the John Battle Trojans 4-3. That's two games straight that the Cavaliers have won by just one run.

King William's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dustin Bevins, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits Bevins has posted since back in April.

The win made it two in a row for King William and bumps their season record up to 17-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for John Battle, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 15-5 record.

King William wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Appomattox County on the 14th. John Battle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
