Primero hasn't had much luck against Branson/Kim recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Bearcats at 1:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Primero beat Walsenburg 30-24.

| 09/26/25 vs Kiowa | 59 |
| 10/11/25 vs Mountain Valley | 52 |
| 08/30/25 @ Walsh | 30 |
| 09/12/25 vs La Veta | -4 |
Gabe Sintas produced another solid performance rushing for 194 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 124 yards and one TD. Those 194 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Primero was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 343 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Primero's defense and their four sacks. Kailain Sanford was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three himself. Primero got some further help from Josh Pachorek: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Branson/Kim). They blew past Mountain Valley, posting a 78-19 win. Considering the Bearcats have won five contests by more than 30 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Primero better keep an eye on Will Doherty. He was instrumental in Branson/Kim's win, rushing for 130 yards and three scores on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 28 yards and one touchdown. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Cooper Winter, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Branson/Kim, racking up 21 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Blake Olguin, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from Winter.
Primero pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points over those games. As for Branson/Kim, their record is now 5-2.
Saturday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Primero has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 218.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Branson/Kim struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 154.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Primero came up short against Branson/Kim in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 36-32. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Kolter Cranson (who rushed for 243 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.7 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
