Even though the Gates Chili Spartans scored an imposing 61 points on Wednesday, the Brighton Bruins still came out on top. Brighton strolled past Gates Chili with points to spare, taking the game 77-61. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Brighton also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Despite the loss, Gates Chili saw an underclassman step up: Joey Vigerzi scored 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Vigerzi has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Tantalo, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.

Brighton's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Gates Chili, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Brighton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Monroe at 6:30 p.m. on February 15th. Brighton is facing Monroe at the right time seeing as Monroe is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Gates Chili does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
