Softball Game Preview: Roncalli Jets vs. St. Mary's Springs Ledgers

The Roncalli Jets will head out to challenge the St. Mary's Springs Ledgers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Roncalli hasn't scored more than a single run for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Roncalli's offense. They lost 15-0 to Chilton on Tuesday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Jets were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's Springs made easy work of Winnebago Lutheran Academy on Tuesday and carried off an 11-3 victory. The Ledgers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for St. Mary's Springs and bumps their season record up to 12-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Roncalli, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Roncalli came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Mary's Springs when the teams last played back in May of 2019, sneaking past 2-0. Do the Jets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ledgers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
