Paul W. Bryant and Northridge are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Stampede will venture away from home to square off against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Paul W. Bryant's offense hasn't had much luck over their past six games, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Paul W. Bryant is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Bessemer City on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Stampede were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 52-8. On the bright side, the eight- point performance marked the Stampede's highest-scoring game to date.

Meanwhile, Northridge came up short against Hueytown on Friday and fell 42-32. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Golden Gophers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Paul W. Bryant will need to focus on slowing down Dameriyan Cotton, one of several Northridge players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 103 receiving yards and two TDs. Cotton was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 51 yards. Damarcus Wilder was in the mix as well, providing Northridge with two touchdowns.

Northridge now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Paul W. Bryant, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Paul W. Bryant ended up a good deal behind Northridge when the teams last played back in October of 2024, losing 28-14. Can the Stampede avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
