Volleyball Recap: Abbott Starts off Right with Win over Rio Vista

Abbott had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Rio Vista Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Abbott got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The final score came out to 31-29, 20-25, 25-13, 25-23.

Coincidentally, Abbott and Rio Vista will both be playing Axtell the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 5:45 p.m.
