Volleyball Recap: Malden Comes Up Short

Malden saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Owensville Dutchmen.

Among those leading the charge was Reece Hampton, who had 16 assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Malden's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2-2. As for Owensville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-1 record this season.

Malden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Portageville on the 15th. As for Owensville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Fatima on the 17th.
