Volleyball Recap: Hokes Bluff Comes Up Short

Hokes Bluff was the 2-1 winner over Glencoe when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 2-0 to the Yellowjackets on Saturday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-10.

Payton Gray was the offensive standout of the match as she had six digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last 17 contests.

Hokes Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Glencoe, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-14 record this season.

Hokes Bluff wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Pleasant Valley on the 11th. As for Glencoe, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Coosa Christian on the 11th.
