Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Delavan-Darien

It's playoff time, and Delavan-Darien had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Jefferson Eagles on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Comets, who have now won four contests in a row.

Delavan-Darien never let Jefferson on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-21.

Leading Delavan-Darien to victory were Delaney Stallings and Morgan Weiss. Stallings had 15 digs and three assists, while Weiss had 14 kills and nine digs. Weiss is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Delavan-Darien's record now sits at 22-12. As for Jefferson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-16 record this season.

Delavan-Darien didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Catholic Memorial on the 25th. Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
