Softball Recap: Richland County Takes a Loss

Richland County was the 11-1 winner over Mt. Carmel when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Golden Aces on Thursday, falling 12-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Richland County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Knox, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Knox's first of the season.

Richland County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Mt. Carmel, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Richland County will take on rival Marshall at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel is set to square off against their familiar foe Robinson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
