Football Recap: Garrison Skates Past North Webster with Ease

Garrison won the last time they faced North Webster and things went their way on Friday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Knights 46-7. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Garrison to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Yarbrough, who rushed for 162 yards and one touchdown while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 32 receiving yards and one score. Another passer making a difference was Riley McGuire, who threw for 130 yards and three TDs on only ten passes.

Garrison's run defense was locked in: North Webster could only muster 3.2 yards per carry. While three picked up at least two total tackles, Yarbrough stood above the rest. He rushed for 162 yards and one score while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 32 receiving yards and one touchdown. Garrison didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.7.

Garrison didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Will Rimsky.

Garrison now has a winning record of 3-2. As for North Webster, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Garrison has already played their next game, a 35-33 win against Shelbyville on the 10th. As for North Webster, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 33-0 defeat against Carroll on the 10th.
