Softball Recap: Cheverus Stags vs. Kennebunk Rams
With a playoff win on the line, Cheverus rose to the challenge on Friday. They never let the Kennebunk Rams get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Stags, who have now won 13 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Kennebunk's batters probably weren't too happy with Addison DeRoche, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 18 Ks (she gave up zero walks). DeRoche has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Hailey Lamontagne was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
