Soccer Game Preview: Corner Canyon vs. Syracuse

The Corner Canyon Chargers are taking a road trip to take on the Syracuse Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Corner Canyon proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand Lehi a 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Syracuse). They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Mountain Ridge on Wednesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Titans were the better team in the second half.

Gio Fuentes and Wyatt Affleck scored both of Syracuse's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Syracuse's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Corner Canyon, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
