Baseball Recap: Plattsmouth Comes Up Short

Malcolm hit Plattsmouth with a five-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils fell 8-3 to the Clippers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 13-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Plattsmouth saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Mink, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Plattsmouth's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Malcolm, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Plattsmouth has already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Platteview on the 22nd. As for Malcolm, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 win against Beatrice on the 22nd.
