Football Game Preview: Mt. Enterprise Wildcats vs. Alto Yellowjackets

The Mt. Enterprise Wildcats will face off against the Alto Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Enterprise knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Alto likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Mt. Enterprise strolled past Overton with points to spare, taking the game 60-42.

Kaegan Ash had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 599 yards and seven scores while picking up 22.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 63 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. His longest rush was for an incredible 95 yards.

Ash was just one part of a punishing run game: Mt. Enterprise was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 630 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 201 rushing yards in 16 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Alto took a blow against Overton last Friday, falling 47-3. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alto now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Mt. Enterprise, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

Mt. Enterprise strolled past Alto when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 46-32. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
