Baseball Recap: Ridgeview Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Ridgeview never let their opponents score on Friday. They came out on top against the Highland Scots by a score of 5-0. The win continues a trend for the Wolf Pack in their matchups with the Scots: they've now won seven in a row.

The result came thanks to Ben Castro's shutout, as he gave up just three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jacob Quintero, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Ridgeview pushed their record up to 17-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Highland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season.
