Softball Recap: Shaw Raiders vs. Columbus Blue Devils
After flying high against Carver last Thursday, Shaw came back down to earth. The Shaw Raiders lost 11-0 to the Columbus Blue Devils on Tuesday. The shutout was out of character for the Raiders seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.
Shaw's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-11. As for Columbus, they pushed their record up to 20-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Shaw will play host again on Thursday to welcome Callaway, where first pitch is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Shaw is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season. Columbus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
