2A Conference 7 recap November 13, 2013

Alex Manley and Ricky Kirchenbauer provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Surry Central. The longest such play in 2A Conference 7 this season, the connection resulted in 58 yards.

Carver added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating South Stokes, 47-8. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.

Manley threw for 198 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 7-17 with 0 interceptions.

Jordan Sawyers was a force in the backfield as Forbush beat North Surry.

Sawyers was a passing and rushing force as the Falcons beat the Greyhounds. Sawyers' favorite target this week was Brady Willard, who caught 2 passes for 27 yards.

Sawyers was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 261 yards on 27 carries as Forbush bested the Golden Eagles. Carson Fulp also contributed to the rushing game with 47 yards on the ground.

The Wildcats' Manley and Kirchenbauer led 2A Conference 7 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Manley has thrown for 1,139 yards this season, while Kirchenbauer has 35 catches for 517 yards. Jaquan Martin from the Sauras leads the league in rushing with 1,336 yards.

South Stokes lost to Carver 47-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
